As practicing Christians living in the 21st century, many of us are recipients of a great spiritual inheritance which have been bestowed to us by our godly parents. We have thus an awesome responsibility to be loyal to this wonderful heritage and guard our faith against all odds. The tsunami of materialism may have slightly distracted us from practical, sacrificial and persistent commitment to the Lord. However, we are charged and privileged to LOVE our GOD and to LOVE our NEIGHBOURS as we love ourselves. Are we truly displaying the love of Christ through our lives, works and deeds? Are we mindful of our responsibility towards our fellow brethren whom the Lord would want us to care for just as He would?
It’s definitely saddening to note that the majority of our Workers are struggling to make two ends meet. Hundreds of gatherings in rural India cry out for basic necessities like a small yet personal place to come together. These rural assemblies also face constant challenges of catering to the basic daily needs of their new additions who are incapable in supporting their families due to their meagre resources. It is horrifying to note that in the event of any unforeseen necessity in the family, like sickness, accident etc. these brethren have no other alternative but to suffer in silence. The educational needs and marriages of their girl child are all at stake.
When we reflected upon what could be done under the present circumstances, to lend a helping hand and provide some solace to those in sheer need, God has brought to our mind the concept of ‘Stewards Care’ in to our mind.. 'Stewards Care', a newly registered Charitable Trust, is a welfare program meant to facilitate the holistic needs of the ‘financially challenged’ and other needy people amongst us. Stewards Care looks to the Lord for the materialization and supply of these mega needs.
To meet this large requirement, we are motivated to tap the resources of God’s people placed in India whom the Lord has entrusted with a large chunk of His material resources. If all our ‘Have’ Assemblies / Individuals are encouraged to earmark and commit a portion of their heavenly blessed financial resources for the benefit of the above said ‘Have-nots’, then the purpose of God will definitely be accomplished. We should always be reminded of the fact that these ‘Have-nots’ are leading a hand to mouth existence and that the Lord has blessed us materially in order that we share our financial blessings with those who lack it. We thus, appeal to all our Assemblies / Believers in India, who share this concern with regard to these unfortunate brothers and sisters, to get involved in this God-ordained goal. We also exhort our young professionals working in Corporate Companies and other Sectors in India to generously contribute towards this noble cause, as it will be a great investment in the Kingdom of God.
We would take his opportunity to inform all the prospective Donors and well-wishers that this new Indian Charitable Trust has received the 80 G Exemption from the Income Tax Department, Govt. of India so that you can avail Income Tax exemption for fifty percent of the amount contributed towards this Charity ‘Stewards Care’.

In conclusion, all we would like to emphasize derives from God’s word - “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that that you use, it shall be measured back to you.”
We are all called to be Stewards that Care!
May the Lord give adequate wisdom and guidance to all of us to perform what is right and to make wise use of the resources He has entrusted with us for the glory of His name and for extension of His Kingdom.
